CAB Evaluation

CAB Evaluation

The Change Advisory Board, also known as CAB, plays a crucial role in the change management process. While the change manager typically handles small changes, more complex changes with higher risks and impacts require the collective expertise of a diverse group of individuals from various departments within the organization. This group evaluates proposed changes and provides feedback to the change manager.

The composition of the CAB may vary depending on the organization but usually includes permanent members like the change manager, change reviewer, and IT expert, with additional members added as needed based on the type of change request.

To configure CAB members, go to Setup > Customization > Change Management. Learn more.

The following tabs are displayed in this stage:
  1. Details: Add attachments of CAB evaluation details and fill additional fields configured for the stage. Depending on your change role and permissions, you can spot-edit the fields.
  2. Approvals: Track the approval levels associated with the stage. Depending on your permissions, you can perform approval actions on the change.
  3. TasksYou can add and manage tasks in this stage.
  4. Status Comments: View the status transitions of the change in this stage, along with the comments added during the transitions.

In the Approval tab, you can send the approvals for CAB evaluation by clicking Send For Recommendation.

The Change Owner/Change Approver can also record the CAB approval status by clicking CAB Approval.
