Solutions List View

The solutions list view is a tabular, compact view that displays solutions articles. By default, solutions are displayed in the list view.

Role Required: SDAdmin, Users with View Solutions permission.

Customer Filter

Use the customer filter in the application header to filter the solutions based on customers. You can select All Customers to view solutions from all customers in a single window or select a specific customer from the filter to view solutions associated only to the customer.
 

Solution Filters 

By default, all active solutions are displayed on the list view page. You can use the filter drop-down on the page header to view the solutions list based on approval status, periodic review due date, and expiry date.

Create Solutions 

Use the New Solution button to create a solution article. Click here to learn more.

Manage Solutions 

Click the solution title to preview the solution article from the list view. Click  to open the solution details page.
You can click  beside a solution to perform the following actions:
  1. Edit solution.
  2. Forward solution
  3. Share solution with specific technician groups. SDAdmins can bulk-share solutions by selecting them and clicking the Share button on the toolbar. 
  4. Perform approval-related actions such as submitting solution for approval, and approve or rejecting solution.
  5. Delete solution

Manage Solutions across Topics   

Use the left pane to view the solution articles under each topic and sub-topic. If a topic/sub-topic is shared to specific technician groups, the shared groups will be displayed beside the topic name on top of the list view page.
You can move solutions using the Move button.

Search through Solutions   

You can search through the columns you have selected to be displayed in the solutions list view by using the  icon on the toolbar.
Enter the criteria to search in the relevant column search box and press Enter on your keyboard.

You cannot search for solutions using any of the date fields. 
You can also perform global search through the solutions module from the application header. 

Customize List View Layout   

Column Chooser - The  icon on the far left of the toolbar helps you customize the information you want to view on the solution list view. You can decide the column order in the Column Chooser menu by using the  icon.

Table Settings - Use the  icon on the far right of the toolbar to:
  1. Decide the number of records displayed per page.
  2. Sort solution articles based on column criteria.
  3. Apply ascending or descending order to view the solution articles.
