Edit or Delete Problems

Edit Problems 

On the list view or template view, click beside a problem and select Edit.


Alternatively, go to the problem details page and click Edit on the toolbar.


You can also perform an inline edit in the problem request details by clicking on a field value.


Reported and Created Date: Once the problem is created, the Reported Date and Created Date will be available in the problem details. The reported date can be modified, while the created date is not editable.
Known Error: Mark an error as a known error if it already exists in the application.

  1. In the right pane next to Known Error, select Yes/No.
  2. In Mark as Known Error dialog box, choose whether or not the problem is a known error.
  3. Add comments and click Save.

Alternatively, You can mark the problem as a known error from Actions > Mark as Known Error.
Editing Problem Template
To change the template of an existing problem request,
  1. Edit the required problem.
  2. Click the Select Template drop-down and choose the required template.
  3. Choose one of the following options:
    1. Overwrite all existing field values: Choosing this option rewrites all the field values using the values configured for the new template.
    2. Overwrite only empty field values: Choosing this option rewrites only the empty fields with the values configured for the new template.
    3. Do not overwrite: Choosing this option leaves the existing field values of the problem undisturbed.
  4. If tasks and dependencies are configured from the existing template, you can choose to delete the tasks and task dependencies.
  5. Click Apply.

Delete Problems 

On the list view or template view,
Click beside a problem and select Delete.


You can delete problems in bulk by selecting them and clicking Delete on the top of the page.


Alternatively, go to the problem details page and select Actions > Delete Problem.
