Request Associations

Associate changes, problems, releases, and purchase orders to requests to provide further information to the request.

Associate Change that initiated the Request 

To associate a change that initiated the request,
  1. Go to the Requests module and select the respective customer from the filter in the header. 
  2. Click the subject of a request to open it.
  3. On the right pane in the request details page, locate Change that Initiated Request and click Search.

  1. Changes raised in the application will be listed in a pop-up. Use the filters on the top-left to narrow your search.
    1. You click the title of a change to expand its details or click to go to the change details page.
  2. Select a change by clicking the radio button next to it.
  3. Finally, click Associate.

 
The associated change can be seen under Change that Initiated Request on the right pane.

To remove the associated change, click Detach beside Change that Initiated Request on the right pane in the request details page.


Associate Changes caused by Requests 

Associate one or more changes caused by the request.
  1. Go to the Requests module and select the respective customer from the filter in the header.
  2. Click the subject of a request to open it.
  3. On the right pane in the request details page, locate Changes Caused by Request.

  1. To associate existing changes, click Attach.
  2. Changes raised in the application will be listed in a pop-up. Use the filters on the top-left to narrow your search. You can also click the title of a change to expand its details.
  3. Select the changes to associate using the check boxes next to them, and click Associate.

  1. To create a new change and associate it with the request, click New.
    1. Use these pointers to fill out the New Change form.
    2. Finally, click Save. The new change will be created and associated with the request. 
The associated changes can be seen under Changes caused by Request on the right pane.

To remove the associated changes, click Detach beside Changes caused by Request on the right pane in the request details page. Select the changes using the check boxes and click Disassociate.

Associate Problem to Requests 

To associate a problem with the request,
  1. Go to the Requests module and select the respective customer from the filter in the header.
  2. Click the subject of a request to open it.
  3. On the right pane in the request details page, locate Associate Problem.

  1. To associate an existing problem, click Search.
    1. Problems raised in the application will be listed in a pop-up. Use the filters on the top-left to narrow your search. You can also click the title of a problem to expand its details.
    2. Select a problem by clicking the radio button next to it, and click Associate.
  1. To create a new problem and associate it with the request, click New.
  2. Use these pointers to fill out the New Problem form.
  3. Finally, click Save. The new problem will be created and associated with the request.
The associated problem can be seen under Associated Problem on the right pane.

To remove the associated problem, click Detach beside the Associated Problem field on the right pane in the request details page.


Associate Release that Initiated the Request 

To associate a release that initiated the request,
  1. Go to the Requests module and select the respective customer from the filter in the header.
  2. Click the subject of a request to open it.
  3. On the right pane in the request details page, locate Release that Initiated Request and click Search.

  1. Releases raised in the application will be listed in a pop-up. Use the filters on the top-left to narrow your search.
    1. You click the title of a release to expand its details or click to go to the release details page.
  2. Select a release by clicking the radio button next to it.
  3. Finally, click Associate.

The associated release can be seen under Release that Initiated Request on the right pane.

To remove the associated release, click Detach beside Release that Initiated Request on the right pane in the request details page.

Associate Releases caused by the Request 

Associate one or more releases caused by the request.
  1. Go to the Requests module and select the respective customer from the filter in the header.
  2. Click the subject of a request to open it.
  3. On the right pane in the request details page, locate Releases Caused by Request.

  1. To associate existing releases, click Attach.
    1. Releases raised in the application will be listed in a pop-up. Use the filters on the top-left to narrow your search. You can also click the title of a release to expand its details.
    2. Select the releases to associate using the check boxes next to them, and click Associate.
  1. To create a new release and associate it with the request, click New.
    1. Use these pointers to fill out the New Release form.
    2. Finally, click Save. The new release will be created and associated with the request.
The associated releases can be seen under Releases Caused by Request on the right pane.

To remove the associated releases, click Detach beside Releases Caused by Request on the right pane in the request details page. Select the releases using the check boxes and click Disassociate.
 

Associate Contracts to Requests   

Associate one or more contracts to a service request.
  1. Go to Requests and select the respective customer from the filter in the header.
  2. Click the subject of a request to open it.
  3. On the right pane in the request details page, locate Invoked Contracts and click Attach.
  1. On the pop-up displayed, choose the contract to associate from the Contract drop-down.
  2. Specify the Invocation Cost and add comments regarding the invocation if any.
  3. Click Invoke to associate the contract, or Invoke and Add Another to associate the contract and select another contract to associate.
 

The associated contracts can be viewed in the Invoked Contracts section on the right pane.

To remove an associated contract, click on it and select the desired contracts using the check boxes, then click Revoke.
 

Associate a Service Request to a Purchase Order 

Associate one or more purchase orders to a service request.

This option is available only for service requests. 
  1. Go to the Requests module and select the respective customer from the filter in the header.
  2. Click the subject of a service request to open it.
  3. On the right pane in the request details page, locate Associate Purchase Order, and click Attach.

  1. Purchase orders configured in the application will be listed in a pop-up. Use the filters on the top-left to narrow your search.
    1. You can also click the title of a release to expand its details.
  2. Select the purchase orders to associate using the check boxes next to them.
  3. Finally, click Associate.

The associated purchase orders can be seen under Associate Purchase Order on the right pane.

To remove the associated purchase orders, click Detach beside Associate Purchase Order on the right pane in the request details page. Select the purchase orders using the check boxes and click Disassociate.
