SMS Settings
Notify request events to technicians via SMS. You can configure SMS settings through one of the following methods:
- Mobile Service
- SMS Gateway
Role Required: SDAdmin
To configure SMS settings, go to Setup > Apps & Add-ons > SMS Settings. Mobile service is enabled by default.
Mobile Service
Mobile Service allows you to send text messages using the SMS Mail ID of technicians.
- Go to Setup > Users & Permissions > Users.
- Edit an existing technician to add the SMS mail ID or click New Technician.
- Fill out the form and provide the SMS mail ID of the technician.
- Click Save.
SMS Gateway
SMS Gateway allows you to send text messages using the mobile number of technicians.
- Go to Setup > Apps & Add-ons > SMS Settings.
- Enable SMS Gateway and click Enable Now.
Fill the following fields:
- Select an HTTP Method*.
- POST - To send data to a server.
- GET - To retrieve data from a server.
- Enter a valid URL* to which the webhook call must be made.
- Specify URL parameters and Request Headers. Type $ to insert a variable into URL Parameters and Request Headers.
- Choose the Authentication* type.
- Enter Request Payload. It contains data to be sent to the server while making an API request.
- Select Request Payload Type* from the drop-down. A payload type defines the data format in the payload. Supported payload types are JSON and XML.
- Enter Response from Provider.
- Alternatively, click Auto-populate Vendor Settings at the right-top of the page. Select a vendor and click Prefill to populate vendor details automatically.
- Click Save to save the changes, or click Reset to clear gateway settings. Click Cancel or Reset after saving the configurations to enable the Mobile Service.

Test SMS Gateway
You can verify the SMS gateway functionality by sending a test SMS.
- After saving the settings, the Send Test SMS option will be displayed on the top-right of the page.
- Click Send Test SMS.
- Enter the mobile number and message, click Send.
Customize Templates
To customize the SMS notification template,
- Go to Setup > Automation > Notification Rules > Request.
- Under Technician Notifications, click the edit icon beside the checkbox in the SMS Notifications column.
- Customize the template, add the required details, and click Create and Close.
- To create templates in the user's language, choose a language and click Create template for this language. Click Save.
The default template will be used for templates that are not customized in the user's language.
