Create and Manage Maintenance

Schedule and manage recurring maintenance activities such as software patch updates, server memory upgrades, printer cartridge replacements, WiFi maintenance, or AC service. This ensures maintenance is planned in advance and performed regularly.
Maintenances can be scheduled for Requests and Changes.

Currently, change maintenance is only available in the Enterprise edition and as an add-on for other editions. 
Role Required: 
 
Request Maintenances: SDAdmins, SDMaintenance Manager, HelpdeskConfig, and Technicians
Change Maintenances: SDAdmins, SDMaintenance Manager, and Technicians

Create and Schedule Maintenance 

  1. Go to the Maintenance module and choose the respective customer from the filter in the header.
  2. Select a required module (Requests/Changes) from the filter drop-down on the top-left.
  3. Click New Maintenance.
  4. Select an appropriate template.
  5. Select a relevant workflow (applicable only for changes).
  6. Fill out the fields using the links below.
    1. For Request Maintenance, refer here.
    2. For Change Maintenance, refer here.
  7. Click Next to schedule the maintenance.
 

  1. On the Schedule page, select the time frame to schedule the requests/changes from the available options.
    1. Daily: Specify the start date and time to schedule daily maintenance.
    2. Weekly: Select the days of the week and the time to schedule weekly maintenance.
    3. Monthly: Select the months, the date, and the time to schedule monthly maintenance.
    4. Periodic: Enter the period in which the maintenance must be executed.
    5. Once: Select the date and time to schedule the maintenance once.
  2. Click Finish.
Requests/Changes will be automatically created under the respective modules at the scheduled time.

Import Maintenance via CSV  

Alternative to adding request and change maintenances individually, you can also import  multiple maintenances all at once as a CSV, XLS, or XLSX file in ServiceDesk Plus MSP Cloud. Click here to know more.
 

Edit/Delete/Suspend/Resume Maintenance 

Click   beside a maintenance to edit, delete, or suspend it. For suspended maintenance, the Resume option will be available.
 

 
Alternatively, you can perform these actions from the maintenance details page. Click Actions and select the required option.
 
Info
Suspended maintenance is sealed SUSPENDED in their details page. 

 
To delete maintenance in bulk, select them from the maintenance list view using the check boxes and click Delete on the toolbar.
