Asset Replenishment
Asset Replenishment helps track assets in customer's inventory and notify technicians when the asset inventory is expected to exhaust. When the asset count in the inventory falls below the configured threshold, an email is triggered every day until the asset is restocked.
Role Required: SDAssetManager, SDAssetAuditAdmin, or SDAdmin
Add New Replenishment
- Go to Assets and click Replenishment on the left pane.
- Choose the customer from the drop-down in the header.
- Click New Replenishment Configuration on the canvas.
- Select Asset Type from the drop-down. You can choose from All, Assets, Asset Components, or Consumables.
- Select the required site where the replenishment configuration should be applied. The drop-down will list only the selected customer's sites.
- Select the Product Type and Product. The number of products available in the inventory will be displayed under Available Quantity.
- Set an asset replenishment threshold. If enabled in Notification Rules, the relevant technicians will be notified when the available asset quantity falls below the threshold.
- Click
to configure several products/product types in the same configuration.
- Click Save.
View Asset Replenishment Configurations
- You can view the list of configured asset replenishment under Assets > Asset Replenishment.
- Customize the number of records to be displayed by clicking
on the top-right of the page.
- You can filter the asset replenishment configurations displayed based on customer, asset type, site, and product type.
- Use the
icon to search through the asset replenishment configurations list based on product type, product, and replenishment threshold.
Edit/Delete Replenishment Configuration
- Go to Assets > Replenishment.
- Click
beside the replenishment configuration and select Edit or Delete.
To bulk edit or delete, select the check boxes beside the required replenishment configurations and click Edit or Delete on the toolbar.
Replenishment Notifications
Under Notification Rules, you can select technicians to be notified via email when the asset count falls below the replenishment threshold. You can also customize the notification template.
Replenishment alert notifications are sent every day until the asset is restocked.
Technicians will receive notifications only from the sites they are associated with.
Prerequisites
By default, push notifications can be configured for all users with login credentials.
- To enable email/SMS notifications for users, administrators are required to set up the following configurations beforehand:
- To enable email notifications: Configure incoming and outgoing mail server settings from Setup > Mail Settings > Mail Server Settings. Learn more.
- To enable SMS notifications: Configure your mobile/gateway provider from Setup > Apps & Add-ons > SMS Settings.
Enable Replenishment Notification
- Go to Setup > Automation > Notification Rules > Asset.
- Under the Replenishment section, enable the Notify technicians when available asset quantity falls below threshold checkbox and select the required technicians.
- Hover over the section and click the edit icon
to customize the notification template.
