Invoke Contract

You can invoke a contract to cover the costs incurred by an asset/software.

When an asset undergoes repair and the costs are covered by an active contract, we can invoke the contract to register the cost saved. This will help IT technicians calculate if the cost saved exceeds the cost of the contract and decide accordingly if the contract can be renewed.

Role Required: SDAdmin, Users with Add/Edit Contract permissions
  1. On the header, select the customer for whom you want to invoke a contract.
  2. Select the relevant contract.
  3. On the contracts details page, go to the Associations tab.
  4. Click beside an asset/software and select Invoke Contract.
  5. Enter the cost saved by invoking the contract.
  6. Add comments, if any.
  7. Click Save.
