Stage and Status
The progress of each stage in a release life cycle is tracked by specific statuses.
You can create and manage stages and statuses for the release under Setup > Customization > Release Management > Stage and Status.
Users with Edit Releases permission can edit the status of a release stage in the right pane or the Details tab on the release details page.
The default statuses of the release stages are shown in the following tables:
Submission
Status | Explanation | Roles Responsible |
Accepted | Release is approved and can proceed to the next stage. | Release Manager, Release Requester |
Rejected | Release management for the service is dismissed. | Release Manager, Release Requester |
Requested | Release has been requested. | Release Manager |
Requested for Information | More information is required from the requester to process the release further. | Release Requester |
Submitted for Authorization | Release has been submitted for authorization. | Release Requester, Release Manager |
Planning

Development

Testing

User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
