Relationship types

Relationship types define the nature of relationship between CIs or CI types. It shows how the CIs are interconnected and interdependent with other CIs. Each relationship type is direct when viewed from one side and inverse from the other side.

Role Required: SDAdmin and SDCMDBAdmin

Create Relationship Type 

  1. Click New Relationship Type.
  2. Enter a name for the relationship and the inverse relationship type. Both fields are mandatory.
  3. Enter a brief description about the nature of the relationship type in the field provided.
  4. Click Save.
Info
Name and Inverse name are unique for a relationship and cannot be reused. 

Edit/Delete Relationship Type 

Click beside the relationship type and select the required option.

You cannot delete a relationship type that is in use.
