Microsoft Intune Devices   

In ServiceDesk Plus MSP Cloud, devices imported through Microsoft Intune integration are recorded as IT assets and classified as mobile devices and workstations.

View Intune Devices    

To view the devices imported from Microsoft Intune,
  1. Go to Assets.
  2. On the left pane accordion, expand Assets > IT > Computers or Mobile Devices.
  3. The imported devices contain a Microsoft Intune icon beside them in the assets list view.

Info
The imported devices can be partially edited or deleted. However, a manual sync overrides the edits with Microsoft Intune data.
Any changes made to the assets in ServiceDesk Plus MSP Cloud will not be reflected in the relevant devices in Microsoft Intune.

The following fields are non-editable in ServiceDesk Plus Cloud:
  1. IMEI
  2. Total capacity
  3. Available capacity
  4. Platform
  5. OS name
  6. OS version
  7. Serial number

Imported devices cannot be scanned in ServiceDesk Plus MSP Cloud. 

Intune Actions     

Intune actions can be performed only on assets (smartphones, tablets, and workstations) imported from Microsoft Intune.
To perform Intune Actions,
  1. Go to the required assets list view.
  2. Click the Intune Actions drop-down on the toolbar.
  3. Select the required action:
Intune Actions
Explanation
Delete
Removes selected devices from Microsoft Intune.
Performs action on an asset in ServiceDesk Plus MSP Cloud as configured in Microsoft Intune integration.
Deleted devices will no longer have access to the organization resources.
Retire
Removes selected devices from Microsoft Intune and deletes organization data. Retired devices will no longer have access to organization resources.
Note: Personal data will not be removed.
Wipe
Restores devices to its default factory settings. Both organization and personal data will be removed from the devices.
Note: You cannot undo the wipe action.
Sync
Forces sync devices with Microsoft Intune and imports any pending actions or policies assigned to the devices.
Restart
Restarts the device without any acknowledgement from the device owner.
Send Notification
Sends custom messages to devices. The information shared from ServiceDesk Plus MSP Cloud will be notified on the devices' lock screen.
